ADA supports Guatemalan MFI Génesis in unlocking climate adaptation financing

Fundación Génesis Empresarial is the largest microfinance institution (MFI) in Guatemala. ADA and Génesis are currently setting up a two-year project to complement the client development paths with climate adaptation aspects to increase the resilience of vulnerable clients to the adverse effects of climate change.

Lessons learnt from digitalising microfinance institutions in Central America

Between 2019 and 2022, ADA supported the Central American and Caribbean Microfinance Network (REDCAMIF) in implementing digital quick wins at 17 member MFIs in Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama.
