ADA at the European Microfinance Week (EMW) in Luxembourg

ADA is sponsoring the European Microfinance Week (EMW), which is organised by the European Microfinance Platform e-MFP and will take place from 16 to 18 November at the Neumünster Abbey. As a sponsor, ADA will contribute to the event in several ways.  


STAND 

A stand will be present in the Abbey's main hall during the whole event. Participants are cordially invited to pass by to get an update on ADA's activities. With a bit of luck, they can win a ticket to the African Microfinance Week (SAM) 2023.

The aim of the session will be to discuss and highlight some of the solutions and challenges in strengthening agricultural value chains and the actors within them, through innovative TA support and/or investment solutions. It will also examine how investments combined with TA can be a real diver to strengthening and developing agricultural value chains.

"Innovative Solutions for Financing Young Entrepreneurs"
ADA collaborates with financial institutions, incubators and business accelerators to provide young entrepreneurs with business skills and flexible financing tailored to their needs such as longer loans and revenue-based repayments. As an example for an innovative mix of financial and non-financial solutions in Central America, the incubator Alterna will explain how ADA helped them to put in place a revenue-based loan mechanism for businesses they support. In addition, ADA will present a project to help young entrepreneurs access professional accounting services digitally in Côte d’Ivoire and Senegal.

EUROPEAN MICROFINANCE AWARD

On 17 November, ADA will also be part of the jury for the European Microfinance Award organised by InFiNe.lu of EUR 100 000 for which three organisations are competing: Bancamía (Colombia), Banco FIE (Bolivia) and the Kashf Foundation (Pakistan). This year's topic is financial inclusion for women.
