A review of our inclusive finance activities over the past four years

2021 marked the fourth and final year of ADA’s strategic plan which had been initiated in 2018. Throughout this period, ADA supported microfinance institutions (MFIs) in providing financial services (mainly agricultural loans and insurance products) to their target populations.

Visit to Niger by a delegation from Luxembourg

In June, Luxembourg’s Prime Minister Xavier Bettel and the Minister for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Affairs Franz Fayot visited Niger to meet the authorities there to discuss access to basic services and financing for women, young people and agricultural sector stakeholders.

Registration open for the Certificate in Law and Regulation of Inclusive Finance 2023

The Certificate in Inclusive Finance Law and Regulation will take place at the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance of the University of Luxembourg, from 16 to 26 January 2023. Apply before 1 October.

First SSNUP project completed

The six-month project co-funded by SSNUP aimed to increase the quantity and quality of rice produced in Northern Senegal, thereby increasing both the revenue and the food security of the local smallholder rice farmers.

From 2020 to 2021, ADA supported the Insurtech OKO in Mali in expanding its activities and in conducting a customer survey. It releases the findings of this survey and the results of the project.

Publication of REDCAMIF’s annual report 2021

Since 2009, ADA has financially and technically supported REDCAMIF, the regional microfinance network for Central America and the Caribbean, with financial inclusion programmes to improve the quality of life of low-income populations in the region. REDCAMIF has now published its annual report for the year 2021.
