Digital solutions such as mobile money, e-commerce, weather alerts and index-based insurance have transformed the way smallholder farmers run their businesses.
ADA has published the annual report 2021 for the SSNUP programme. In 2021, the programme approved 14 projects supporting 30 SMEs, farmer cooperatives, microfinance institutions and insurance companies in 15 developing countries.
The six-month project co-funded by SSNUP aimed to increase the quantity and quality of rice produced in Northern Senegal, thereby increasing both the revenue and the food security of the local smallholder rice farmers.
